MY LIFE AFTER THE
TRANSPLANT OPERATION UPDATED August 2007
By following the advice from the transplant doctors and other medical staff I have been able to
have a normal lifestyle and been able to travel to Europe for holidays with my partner.
The idea of this page is to show some of the places I have been to since my transplant
I will keep this page up to date, so you can see what you can achieve after a Transplant.
In August 1999 I had a 2 week holiday with my family on the Isle Of White which is a island off the
South coast of England. I had to stay in the UK due to travel restrictions for first year after the
Transplant operation
In August 2001 I spent a week in the Austrian Tyrol with my partner where we went walking in the
beautiful mountains.
In September 2003 I spent a week in
Alassio in Italy
while in Italy I visited Monaco and
Monte Carlo, Nice and Cannes in France.

In September 2004 I spent a week in Newquay
Cornwall UK. while in Cornwall I went to the
Isles Of Scilly which are a group of island
28 miles west of Lands End.

On April the 1st 2005 I achieved my ambition
of returning to the USA
when I travelled to Chicago for 6 days
while in Chicago I met two members of the
American Transplant Association,
one of them being the Director.

In September 2005 I travelled to Gran Canaria which is one of the Canary Islands for week in the sun.

During June 2006 my partner and I
spent 9 nights in San Francisco and while
there we met a Family who of the daughters
had heart transplants and took a visit with them
to Alcatraz which has the nickname
the Rock in San Francisco bay.

In July 2007 we when to Lake Garda ( Lago del Garda) in Italy for a week
which is the largest lake in Italy, while there we had a visit to Venice for a day
